Ezra John Hamilton is the voice and leader of the Wheeling West Virginia-based act Hit Play. Hamilton is a Magnolia High School (New Martinsville, WV) graduate who got his start performing with Robby Parsons in 1995 and has invested more than 20 years of his life devoted to making music.
Hamilton has shared the stage with some of the music industry's brightest such as Gavin DeGraw, Boyd Tinsley of Dave Matthews Band, members of the band Daughtry, and Robert Randolph. He has also recorded with many industry greats such as Kofi Burbridge of the Grammy Award winning Tedeschi Trucks Band.
In 2012, Hamilton took time away from writing, recording and producing his own original music to pursue his passion for performance. In 2016, Hamilton re-kindled his love of creating with the release of his first original music EP under the name Ezra John entitled "Follow Me." He now performs covers and originals with his band throughout the tri-state area.
